Cookies and localStorage are different
Cookies can accompany requests to a server. localStorage holds values in your browser for a particular site. This site’s script uses localStorage only when you explicitly save the preference below. It does not read or write a visitor identifier.
What the preference stores
The key is rgr-cookie-preference. Its value is either essential or accepted. The purpose is to remember your choice on this browser; there is no automatic expiry in the supplied script. It remains until changed or removed through browser controls. The script does not transmit it to the publisher.
Neither choice enables optional tracking because none is implemented. Saving acceptance is not a blanket authorisation for future services. Any new non-essential technology would require an appropriate updated notice and choice before activation where required.
Your browser preference
Drafts, clipboard and downloads
The contact composer keeps the current draft in page memory, not in localStorage. Copying a prepared letter places it on your device clipboard; downloading saves a text file on your device. Clearing this site’s browser data does not necessarily remove clipboard history, downloaded files or information retained by your browser’s own form-restoration features.
Change or remove your choice
Use the selector above to replace the saved preference. To remove it entirely, open your browser’s privacy or site-data settings and clear storage for riddlegardenrang.buzz. Private browsing and storage-blocking settings may prevent persistence. All journal articles remain readable if storage is unavailable.
Hosting and external services
This notice describes the supplied static code. Hosting infrastructure may separately use operational mechanisms outside that code. Following an external source link takes you to a service with its own cookie practices. The journal does not embed those services in its pages.
